The film  TA Concepts – Transactions, is an explainer video on the subject of Transactional Analysis; it explains our behaviour with each other, using the theory of Transactions. The film shows typical situations at work; and makes us reflect on our own behaviour. (7minutes)

Very often we have noticed that communications with some people are easy, while with others it is not so.

In the theory of Transactional Analysis(TA), postulated by Dr.Eric Berne,  every communication with self or another person, whether verbal or otherwise, is called a transaction.

Understanding the concept of transactions helps us understand ourselves and others and thus improve our relationships.

In TA, the ego state model is the basis to understand the process of communication between two people.

A significant aspect which Dr. Eric Berne also brought out is that whatever happens between two people is co-created and that both have a part to play in how the communication turns out.

The understanding of this theory helps individuals to take responsibility for their own behavior and in turn empowers one to make choices accordingly.
